If a beautiful woman wearing a short skirt is sexually assaulted by a man, whose fault is it, the man's or the woman's or both?

Primary it is man's fault. if she wearing an inappropriate cloth, he shouldn't look or say any offensive words and it is a role in the Holy Qura'n in Nour Sura "say to the believing men to lower their gaze that Allah is aware of what they do and say to the believing women to lower their gaze and protect themselves that That you may prosper"- it is my translation to the verse -. So, Allah begins with men then asks the women to do so either. That's why she is responsible to some degree too.

  3. I think both of the two of them are faulty. Anywhere they are, even in the West, a woman with hot clothes or without (Naked) is likely to be distracted (face troubles)in the street.
Also, man is responsible for his bad behaveiour with he misbehave with a woman in the street even she is waering that short skirt. Emad Mady

  4. Islam sees women as very dignified. Woman is my wife, my mother, my sister, my daughter. Islam see women in a high status. The Quran says that women are like pearls. A pearl is inside an oyster at the bottom of the sea. If you want to get the pearls, you must dive into the sea and extract the pearl from the oyster, for this reason, the pearl is very highly prized. It is the same with women. And men must respect women in all circumstances. Allah ordered men to not look at women with desire. I think the man who assaults is sick and the women in the question needs to be a pearl.

  5. The answer varies for each country on the other
West is not East and Islam is not Christianity
But the general assault on others is completely unacceptable, and for the answer to both error here was a Muslim woman if they are wrong, but this does not allow assaulting her
The man is mistaken for that assaulted her
Thank you Sumaiy, you are right and I agree with you.

  6. IN MY OPINION both of them are faulty, the women don't keep her self and offered her to that,
on the other hand, the man has bad behavior when he assaulted her.

  7. There is no doubt that both are fault.
But in my opinion i think the man is not the fault at the first, but the woman is at fault at the first.
We all know that every action has a reaction, therefore, when this woman dressed a short skirt and narrow she encouraged a man to assaulted her.
I think that any man does not do such a bad behavior with a beautiful woman does not wear short skirts or tight.
We must know that this opinion comes from an Egyptian, because Egypt is an Islamic country has traditions.
But my opinion may change if i talk about the West because they have adifferent traditions.

  8. With regard to the man he is wrong and deserved the punishment because he does not follow the teachings of Islam.
God ordered men to not look at women but it is OK when necessary and Allah ordered women to not look at men except with necessary.
But God also commands women to not show her beauty to the general public to do not move the instincts of men.
Finally, if men and women apply God's commands we will not find the assault in the community.
    I hope that.
    Thank you.
