What would you do if your 20 year old Muslim daughter came to you said she has thought very long and studied many religions and she no longer wants to be a Muslim and she does not believe in Allah? Imagine you tried to persuade her for many years but she still did not believe in God. Could you accept this and give her 'freedom of religion'? What about for a son?

At the beginning, there is no difference between son and daughter or man and woman in believe.
This question's answer is the same answer for the following one:
What would you do if you saw your son/daughter wake to a very big fire, saying that it is not harmful, or it is water?

i was writting one comment before that and you refuse put it why?
if some one want to leave islam he or she is free but if this person calle the other to leave islam the government must put this person in the person after the court
Almighty God said: "There is no compulsion in religion"
He also said: "whosoever will, let him believe and whosoever will, let him disbelieve" "

  3. Thank you Ahmed for your response, it is clear that your belief is very strong.
In answer to your question I would physically protect or stop my son/daughter from being harmed by the fire but I would know that I cannot force him/her to believe if he/she does not believe. We can control others physically but not mentally. I would have no choice but to accept my son or daughter's belief (or disbelief), though I believe differently. What about you?

    29. Say, "The truth is from your Lord": Let him who will believe, and let him who will, reject (it): for the wrong-doers We have prepared a Fire whose (smoke and flames), like the walls and roof of a tent, will hem them in: if they implore relief they will be granted water like melted brass, that will scald their faces, how dreadful the drink! How uncomfortable a couch to recline on!
